I’m done with tumblr because it’s just such a place of terrible unoriginality. People reblog and reblog and reblog and how many people actually post anything original? The ones who do are lucky if anyone actually pays attention. Tumblr puts the ‘site’ in ‘parasite’ and I’m just done with it. Fuck y’all and have a nice day
I might just do it, and if I think it’s a decent drawing I’ll even post it :p
You have no idea how giddy I get when people ask me questions that involve certain areas of my expertise.
Let me ask you this, are your demons obviously demons or are they demons hiding in human skin? If they’re trying to blend in for whatever reason then calling them by their demon names may not be to their benefit. However, if their out in the open and this kind of thing is normal, then I don’t see a problem calling them by their actual names.
I have another suggestion, depending on the names you’ve chosen. As you’ve stated some demon names can be long and slightly awkward. You may want to change the long ones (more than four syllables, though that’s personal preference) to something that’s easier to read. I know when I read books if I come across names that are too long or have too many syllables, I’ll either skip over that name or shorten it, giving it a mental nick-name, as I go. I know this can be difficult to do if you’ve settled on a name with a particular meaning, but it may save you some grief in the long run.
I’m going to leave you with this resource: http://www.esotericarchives.com/solomon/nameindx.htm
It’s my favorite page when looking for an angel or demon name (yeah they’re on there too, don’t let the title fool you!).
If that fails, here’s one for just demons with their name meanings and information about them: http://www.deliriumsrealm.com/demons/
